October Beans

October bush beans (Phaseolus Vulgaris) is a Native American variety dating back to at least the 1830's from Cherchei Nation in Tennessee. (Thank you, Cherry Gal!)

These beans are not just another pretty face! When we taste the, we can taste the fall of the year - or at least many fans claim so! There is something to that statement - that the have an "earthy" flavor - in a good way....

Because of the beautiful, rich coloring, use them anywhere you want to show off a bit - salads, casseroles, soups with a clear broth - we like to have some in refrigerator and add them to finish off an organic vegetable soup or just sprinkle them into our veggies to add a classy look and unique flavor.
